Internships

Blue Star Contemporary offers accredited internship opportunities to graduate and undergraduate students in a variety of positions Internships are available in five areas: Development, Public Relations & Marketing, Building & Gallery, Exhibitions & Programs, and MOSIAC Studio. These internships offer valuable experience in the inner workings of high-profile, non-profit organization. Our internships are not paid, but each counts as 3-hour credit course under the classification of Internship or Practicum. Internships run eight weeks with a minimum of 10 hours a week.

Internship Application Dates

  • Fall 2016 – June 27 - July 29, 2016
  • Spring 2017 – October 3 - November 4, 2016
  • Summer 2017 – March 20 - April 21, 2017

For information about applying for an internship at Blue Star Contemporary, students should contact their current university and obtain the necessary paperwork and instructions. At the same time, they should apply for the internship at Blue Star by sending their resume and a cover letter to Inessa@bluestarart.org during the open application dates listed above.

Volunteer

In the years since its inception, Blue Star Contemporary has grown with the community, instigating positive change in both the art community and the community as a whole. Volunteering is a fun way to be a part of this positive change and meet vibrant like-minded people.

Volunteers will assist staff with exhibition openings, public programs, Family Saturday, and other special events. Volunteers should possess a love and appreciation of art.
