Meet the New Crew:  The students of Blue Star's ARTsmart MOSAIC program have been busy this summer, using their time in the studio to create personal work and working with local ceramacist Laurel Gibson to create experimental ceramic sculptures.  The students will display their new work in two galleries at the Semmes Branch of the San Antonio Public Library from August 14 - September 25.  An exhibiton of drawings and paintings entitled New Crew Works will be on display in the Semmes Quiet Gallery, while the Semmes Conference Gallery will house their new ceramic works.  This is the first exhibition for many of the students, who are new to the MOSAIC program.  An opening reception will be held on the afternoon of August 14, from 4 to 5 pm at the library, following a community ceramics workshop given by Laurel Gibson.
