Jade Townsend Artist Talk
New York sculptor and installation artist Jade Townsend will give an artist talk at Blue Star Contemporary Art Center on the evening of Wednesday, August 17th at 6:30 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
Townsend, whose work explores themes of displacement, allegory and alchemy, has shown extensively in New York, and also been featured in exhibitions across the US, as well as in Cuba, Germany, and Switzerland. Townsend's work was recently featured in the New Image Sculpture exhibition at the McNay in San Antonio. Jade has recently lectured at Pace University and Parsons The New School for Design.
Jade Townsend is currently collaborating with San Antonio's own AtticRep, acting as a guest artist on their most recent production, SMUDGE, which opens on August 18th. For more information on AtticRep, visit www.atticrep.org.
