Prisoner of the Collective
Blue Star Contemporary hosts a screening of Prisoner of the Collective, directed and produced by Michael Berrier. The movie is about a woman who in childhood contracted early onset acute juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, and about her physical and mental struggles into adulthood. She has opened a vintage clothing store in San Antonio, and hopes that will prove her salvation. A photographer approaches about the possibility of having a show at her place, The Collective, and ultimately uses her as the subject of his creative effort. The film is about a real woman, Rachel Dealy, but has fictional elements.
