Family Saturday, August 11
August 11 is the final Family Saturday event this summer! Family Saturday is an education program uniquely constructed for kids and their families to experience contemporary art in a gallery setting. The event will feature a special "felt taco" art activity led by local artist Kimberly Aubuchon.
On three Saturdays this summer, Blue Star opens its doors three hours early for families interested in experiencing contemporary art firsthand. Each Family Saturday features Family Activity Guides, various art projects, and a special art activity led by a local or exhibiting artist.
The event is free, but space is limited to 75 children between the ages of 3 and 12. Blue Star members and their families will be given priority registration. Registration opens to the general public on Thursday, July 26. There are two easy ways to register: by calling 210.227.6960 or by email to Alison Goetz at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Family Saturdays are generously made possible by The Brown Foundation.
