Internships

Blue Star offers accredited internship opportunities to graduate, undergraduate and high school students in a variety of positions

Artist InternArtist’s Studio Apprenticeship/Internship:  through this program, a Fine Arts undergraduate or graduate college student is selected to work in the studio of local artist and Blue Star MOSAIC studio manager Alex Rubio for a semester. Artist’s Studio apprenticeships are coordinated through the student’s university or college and count as a course towards the student’s degree

College Internships are offered in five areas: Educational Programs, Financial, Gallery Registrar, Marketing and Public Relations. These internships offer valuable experience in the inner workings of a high-profile, non-profit organization.  Our internships are not paid, but each counts as 3-hour credit course under the classification of Internship or Practicum.

Artist InternFor information about applying for an internship at Blue Star, students should contact their current university and obtain the necessary paperwork and instructions. At the same time, they should apply for the internship at Blue Star by sending their resume and a cover letter to zinnia@bluestarart.org

High-School Internships are offered to students interested in working as assistants to our MOSAIC Art Studio Manager after school and in gaining experience with instruction and studio operations and upkeep.
